I am posting an update review regarding my most recent experience with Doorways Counseling. After having a negative experience and sharing online I was invited by Jan Hamilton to reach out to share my feedback with her. I spoke to Jan and I was able to share my concerns. She listened and welcomed all the feedback. Jan expressed that her main her goal was to help adolescents be successful with their mental health. She and I begun working together to build a better counselor-client relationship. Jan worked with me to be able to come in New Year's Day for a consultation to accommodate my schedule. When we met, she took the time to explain everything in detail and her approach was caring. She help me and my son feel more comfortable with our session. Thus far, our experience has improved greatly. We look forward to continuing seeing her. To all of you reading this review, please give your counselors the benefit of the doubt and don't allow one bad experience to dictate your future. Relationships can be saved and by speaking out counselors can better serve your needs. Thank you for reading.

Nikki is wonderful! She has helped my daughter so much. My daughter felt a real connection with her immediately. Nikki is compassionate and attentive. She never judges and you can sense that she genuinely cares. I love that she shares scripture with my daughter and prays with her. I am so thankful that God brought us to her!
