My daughter recently began riding lessons. Instructors are great with teaching her to get the horse ready, riding technique, and returning the horse to the stall. The horses are well cared for and facilities also.
I love this barn! Susan Herrick is really nice, very knowledgeable, and cares about the horses. All of the boarders that I've met here are also very friendly. I've been here over a month, and my horse is happy. (There have been places where she has not been as relaxed and at ease.) This place is well cared for, and there are options for our horses to ride/run in a couple of arenas, as well as a round pen, and one of the arenas is gigantic. The lessons that I've seen here are great, from kids who are learning to ride, to people doing jump and flat work. They have some fancy warmblood horses as well as some adorable riding ponies and a couple of miniature horses here. The property backs up to a little mountain with trails that go through the desert, and it's a beautiful backdrop. In Wisconsin I trained out of a boarding facility (starting horses in riding and driving) and also visited other barns where my clients boarded. The \vibe\ here is one of the nicest I've experienced.
I took my daughter for her first riding lessons to Herrick Stables . She had a great time her instructor Tonie was great and very professional . My daughter left feeling confident, and excited for her next lessons.
