I just got off the phone with this lady she was telling me I might not be fit for this program because I moved from here to there and she said it sound like I was running from something I'm not running from nothing smh she doesn't even know me to judge me Everytime I was trying to say something she will talk over me .I don't have a criminal record I'm someone that wants a better life I want to be stable

House of refuge helps a lot of people. When I applied the program manager was very supportive and we made a game plan for me to enter the program. My son has disabilities and special needs. With intense therapy he has excelled, and he is successful in all environments. House of refuge was concerned he could possibly be a disruption during bible class. However, we made a plan for him to slowly be introduced to teachers and classes. The program manager cancelled on me last minute, then stood me up for an appointment we had the next day. I heard from her days later saying we weren’t allowed to join the program because of my son. I was taken aback since my son is very well behaved, and they never met him since they previously cancelled. I reached out to the program manager kindly asking for more of a explanation but never heard back. There were multiple occasions I was addressed and treated as “less than” from a holier-than-tho attitude. I’m surprised they were able to deny me because of my sons special needs when they receive federal grants and other funding. Please be cautious when talking and making plans with this organization.

A place of Redemption. Love and Kindness. I've been shown more respect and honor as a Human than memory provides. I'm convinced there is a God that really really loves and cares for me and the most minute details of this man's life. Run by Julie Sluplee The Compassionate . And Douglas the Diligent. Stephanie a Jewel and loving example of Christianity. There are more volunteers than can be credited with Christ like and Christ centered service. Thank you!!!! With all my Heart
