Sign up for the program was very easy and it was fast. Food distribution went quick and easy. There was a great selection of items to pick from. Although I had one disappointment and granted it was my first time there but it seemed like the person at the door picking and choosing who he wanted to go in and when. Other than that, thank you very much Joshua Tree

Oh my goodness, these people are supposed to be helping the less fortunate. It seems to me that they are there to be able to brag. What comes to mind for those who volunteer is they should be HUMBLE and HELPFUL. Joshua Tree has enjoyed a rather wonderful reputation. However after my first three visits I am certain that the reputation has been garnered based on previous leadership. I was taken aback to hear the director complain to a client about the time of day he must be in to open the pantry. My apologies, to the director. I do not mean to cause you or the staff any inconvenience to your personal life. It is very unfortunate and an inconvenience to me that this virus has distrupted my life and my families life. The loss of a great job has been terribly inconvient for us as we are unable to get nutrition at a grocery at a time that fits our schedule. As it is costly to our budget the times you are available requires me to take time off from my job to get food. I never intended to disrupt your schedule or that of your staff by arriving late to the pantry. Please forgive me as the statements made by you as well as the actions of your staff were not what a reasonable would expect. The situation was escalated to an unacceptable level for my being 10 minutes late, however I could understand that arriving at 6 am and volunteering for 6 hours Monday through Friday can be quite exhausting. Just remember if the position is to daunting you can relinquish the post to someone who has the energy.

The Joshua Tree Feeding Program provides nourishment to low income HIV residents of Maricopa County via their food bank/pantry, vitamins/personal care items, pet food and supplies and medical & community resources to encourage self-sustainability in a social & supportive environment. They're great!

The volunteers and staff are delightful and helpful. They make an uncomfortable situation, beneficial and tolerable, almost even enjoyable, if you can believe that. Personalities and attitudes are pleasant and the candor they interact with tells volumes of how great this assistance program is.
