I have two sweatshirts that are of incredible sentimental value to me. One is 36 years old and the ribbing around the collar, cuffs, and hem was in tatters. The other is 31 years old and, while trying to remove some stains, I left bleach on it which ate through the material on the front. I felt a bit awkward walking into Kathy’s Alterations with two raggedy sweatshirts knowing most customers come for wedding dress alterations or suit tailoring, but Kathy could not have been more accommodating. I explained how much the pieces mean to me and asked if she could repair them. Not only did they come out looking better than new, but I had taken them in on a Monday, and that Friday they were done! Kathy put new ribbing on the collar, cuffs, and hem of the one sweatshirt, and cut off the damaged bottom of the other sweatshirt and attached a new bottom piece to it for a custom “color-block” design. I was overjoyed at the quality of work and am grateful she treated things as basic as sweatshirts with as much care as she would expensive items. I highly recommend her. My loved ones who have passed away who are associated with my shirts must be smiling!

The absolute best in the business!!!!!! I just had two wedding dresses altered here (I changed my mind) and Kathy and Janet were the most professional and personable people I could have ever asked to help me during this process. Kathy is extremely talented and incredibly detailed with her work and treats your items as if they are her own. She has an eye for design and knows exactly what to do if you’re unsure. At the end of this process I don’t even feel as if she’s just a professional who alters my clothes, I feel as if she’s a true friend. I have looked forward to every appointment and now I’m going to just find random things in my closet for her to alter so I can come chat with her again. You will not be disappointed with her!!! :)

I had 2 dresses altered by Kathy and i highly recommend her. She was very nice and professional during the fitting and did an amazing job.
Kathy altered my wedding dress and my husband's suit. She was so helpful and listened closely to what I wanted for my dress. It turned out perfectly. She was great about making sure we had my husband's suit ready for the wedding even when her business was forced to close for COVID-19. Everything looked great!
