Been waiting on a permit for a week now and they havent even started reviewing it yet... still says initialized in the online portal.

Most unreasonable lengthy permit review process of any municipality I have worked in. Its unfortunate that some government entities see no benefit in being consumer focused, when being mutually beneficial is key to any transactional relationship. Your revenues would increase of your review process was more inline with PHX, GLENDALE, SCOTTSDALE ECT. Oh they have been reviewing plans to enclose a patio for 2.5 months, this is something Scottdale provides over the counter, given a comparable scope.

I am so pleasantly surprised by the amazing customer service I have received throughout the process of obtaining a permit to run a business out of my home and a couple of other permits. Everyone, including Jim Carey the engineer, Maria Salaiz and Jared Johnson, the inspection coordinator has been so helpful. I was very nervous before I started the process but it was made very simple and they truly do want to help people. Keep up the great work!!

The time it is taking to have “my fence” approved with permit is over 6 weeks and no update on ETA other then it is “processing”. You pay the fees and try to obey rules and regulations and you are completely helpless on their timeline. I will say the people who answer the phones are very polite when they tell you up to “six weeks”. Problem is they can’t help you more then that- or answer more then “six weeks”. I am past that time and they still tell me “six weeks”.
