Good sushi spot with great presentation of the food. The miso wasn’t that good along with their cucumber salad but, we got the Tiger ( a bit big for one bite), Vegas, Rising Sun, and one I can’t remember the name rolls and they were good. Also the water they give you was the worst water I’ve tasted from a restaurant in a while it wasn’t cold and didn’t have ice. Our server was decent but not terrible because we were at the bar. I would recommend checking this place out because the sushi was good, creative, and the atmosphere was welcoming.

Been going to this place for the past decade. It’s definitely had its ups and downs but I’d say for the past two years l, they’ve been on point. Our favorite is the reverse happy hour. We always end up ordering too much but what I like is that the reverse happy hour not only includes rolls/sushi but also appetizer and meal options. So it allows me to get sushi and rolls while my husband can get appetizers and meals. His favorite are the wings, miso and jalapeño poppers. I feel like we normally spend 60-70 with tip and walk out full from multiple plates and a round of Saki Bombs. We always sit at the bar and the chefs behind the bar are the nicest. Always smiling and welcoming. Great for a quick date night out or if you want to do a group setting, works well too! Recommended with years of good food, great service and fair prices!
Absolutely terrible service. We made reservations for 8:00, didn't even get seated till 8:30. The original waiter that we had disappeared and we never saw him again for the rest of the night. The new guy hardly ever checked on us, not once was my water ever refilled or even offered. Even though there was only four of us, they automatically charged in 18% gratuity. I tipped accordingly based on the service that was provided, and yet my bank account a few days later showed they charged me a 40 tip on top of my total bill and what I did tip.
I was recently craving sushi, and was reminded of the terrible host experience that I had during my last visit. Just before the new year, I stopped in for reverse happy hour and they opened a bit later than usual because they were locked out of their building. Obviously no fault of their own, but when the server let me in to use the restroom after waiting a few moments, I walked up to the host and asked if it was still going to be a wait for me to be seated. This host whom I recognize from all the years I’ve visited when I lived downtown, was speaking to a server and didn’t even acknowledge me when I walked up to the plexiglass stand. When she did choose to speak it was very flippantly and dismissive as I was having a hard time hearing her over the music. To be honest, I wrote this review because in all the years that I’ve visited this place, although the sushi is great Vee ( whom I made sure to ask my server who she is) has always been at the host stand, and more often than not, has an attitude, makes you feel like your doing her a favor by coming in and didn’t even bother to wish me a good night when I exited for the evening. During these times when so many restaurants are fighting to stay open, it should be a minimum requirement for the person who is at the front of your house to have basic customer service skills. For this reason, I’ll likely never return.
The sushi is okay, but the servers were pretty bad. They rarely came by to check in or offer any other service, orders were forgotten or ot heard\. Group tipping, automatic to groups of 8 or more was added automatically to my group of 5. They just could have done so much more to be a better host. The sushi was fine, specialty roles are beautiful and carry a creative style. The poke bowl was good, but it's made from frozen fish.
