I lived there 1 year - had two water leaks, one MAJOR pipe leak and mold- where I had to move out of my apartment for 10 days. I just moved out, left the place in perfect condition (cleaned for 3 hours) and just received a statement for 400, for carpet replacement, vinyl floor cleaning, and an Ozone treatment because of cat urine. PLOT TWIST - I do not own a cat or dog or a pet for that matter. Never once was there a cat in my apartment. I have tried talking to them - but they are refusing to take away the charges. So careful, you may (you will) have to pay for something that is not your fault on move-out. If anything, I am disappointed in the experience and can only hope that this does not happen to anyone else. I was told not to reach out directly to management and management is aware and was told that if I reached out to not answer my call. Please do not post saying to reach out directly, when you know you will not answer my call.
The management team Zulema her staff are very friendly, attentive and provide timely responses to any questions or concerns you have. Unfortunately management isn't very communicative with residents who are moving out. -I informed them that my boyfriend and I would be moving out on 12/5 in June, later I extended my lease to 12/15. On the day rent was due instead of charging pro-rated rent the full amount for December was deducted since my boyfriend didn't turn off his autopay and there's nothing they can do about it. Now I'll have to wait 10-14 days to get my money back after I move out on 12/15.. Would've been nice to have been informed to cancel auto pay so I wouldn't have to wait until the end of December to get my 600 back. - I have lived in unit 102 for a year now and beware the upstairs neighbors are LOUD. They have children running around and have karaoke nights every Friday so kiss your peaceful Fridays after a long work week goodbye! It's mainly before curfew and I've asked them to keep it down multiple times to no avail. This last weekend their music was so loud they couldn't hear me banging on their door to ask them to be quiet. The loud music went on from 7pm-9:30pm. Even last night their kids were stomping around at 10pm as I was trying to go to sleep. - Upstairs neighbor to my left is also (you guessed it) LOUD. He likes to play his piano all night long mainly on the weekends and sometimes early in the morning but he's really great so I actually quite enjoy that noise . -Due to covid maintainance requests haven't been fulfilled. I have had a request in since 12/5/19.. So my closet doors have sat in my hallway all year because they've been messed up since I moved in. -Any updates they've done are cheap and break/fall apart easily! I've had the latch come off my back patio door and any top latch on the sliding doors will break and they won't stay on the track!
I have lived here for 8 years so my experience has its ups and downs in regards to maintenance, etc... Currently maintenance is great and management does their best but I am full of regret for signing my lease. I had planned on moving this summer but stayed due to Covid. I have had issues with noise since last year when the management approved and replaced carpet with thin laminate wood flooring. I asked management not to do it and was told they didn't have to consider my opinion. With the COVID situation I felt I could make it work for a yr but the previous resident broke the lease and two college age girls moved it last weekend. They are clearly social night owls..all week. Only 9 MONTHS to go! So, it's Thursday night at 12:02. An hour ago I had to use a broom on the ceiling..something I have never done before. 15 times..yep...2 knocks every 30 secs until they figured out it was a broom and not the music. They turned the music down to a bearable volume. I have been teaching for 25 yrs..I can handle noise. This is RIDICULOUS! Please ask the type of flooring in the apartment above yours if you move into a lower level apartment. Last year management did offer to move me after installing the flooring, at my expense, to a different apartment but there are no guarantees that I wouldn't end up in the same situation. I can't live upstairs due to disabilities. They had an opportunity to fix the situation by putting carpet back in before the new residents moved in and didn't.. clearly they are careful with their pennies because they also did not replace the 7 yr old carpet in the bedrooms.
We love our complex. We have lived here almost 3 years and are so happy here. Paradise Palms cares about its residents. We love the beautiful landscaping of the property and the festivities all year long. It really shows that management cares about its residents. We also love how pet friendly the complex is, our dog loves to take long walks throughout the complex. The amenities are well taken care of like the laundry on site and the pools are always clean and inviting to hang out at.
