Purchased many metal structures from powers steel and have always been pleased with the service and price. It is great when such a big company will still deal with a one families order for a 18 foot tall hay barn or a 18 by 18 carport. The quality is top notch as evidenced by there are people that drive all the way from California for their residential needs.

I recently went to Phoenix and picked up the solar steel full cantilever carport I ordered from Powers. It has been a very long journey. At first their carport sales people wouldn't even call me back. But I persisted and Pam hooked me up with Kevin Aylesworth, (sales). After almost a year, submitting applications for the carport I wanted, the 3rd try was the charm. I am a California general contractor and general engineering contractor. This solar carport was for my home. In my opinion the engineering Powers provided for my job was thorough but very expensive. It was probably double what it should have been. Everyone was very polite even though my job was small residential, they didnt even need to deal with me. But as a professional contractor, I was hoping that when I get this installed, then maybe I could do more of them. Dealing with Kevin was easy and friendly but Slow. I have mixed views. They have a totally awesome operation but geared for commercial work. BIG. I called way ahead but still had to wait 2 hours to get loaded. Im not sure I would ever use them again, as I know that I overpaid for the engineering. Really bummed. Buyer Beware. Chris
