This is in a beautiful area with a gorgeous view. Almost worth it just for that. They give you a lot of food so just be ready. Their biscuits taste almost like the base for a funnel cake which was delicious, but filled me up so much that I couldn't get but 3 bites into my burger before asking for a to go box. They also have a side there that all the kids love. Literally saw them going down that thing non-stop.

Overall, this place is good. My family and I are 6 and we showed up at around 5:30 pm. We were able to get a table outside on their patio in 10 minutes. Also try to get a table there because the views are amazing. So don’t let the wait push you away. Plus, if you have to wait a couple of minutes, they have a waiting area where you can get drinks and they have a living longhorn bull outside for show and pictures. The service is really good and they made us feel right at home. Our server was quick and helpful when we needed him and the manager was great. The food is pretty good, I would put it with other steakhouses like Outback and Longhorn. The prices are a little high, however, the all you can eat ribs is an amazing option on the menu, so bring an appetite. Regarding COVID safety, the line in the beginning is a little tight and some of the tables are closer to each other than other restaurants, but they do enforce masks in doors. Also they’re aren’t using all of their tables so there’s some space. You’re gonna get mixed reviews of this place, but I recommend giving it a try for yourself.

Great Views. An Arizona "Landmark". However over the years it has gotten dated and the food quality is poor. Needs a top to bottom cleaning and re--work of menu. I recommend going for a drink to see the view and fabulous AZ sunsets but then going somewhere else to eat. Unfortunately, all of the great STEAK places in Tempe seem to be dying off …. first there was Monti's now closed. Surprized that the Roost has stayed open all of these years. I may suggest the Stockyards for your steak dinner but I have never been there. You should try to find a Flemings and their steaks are much better than the Roost but then their prices are much higher as well.

Family tradition is to go to Rustler’s Rooste every time we visit Phoenix. It never disappoints! The wait was long due to COVID guidelines, they had us spread out more than usual. They said it would be a little over an hour wait, and it was exactly 70 minutes. Which was long, but there is plenty to walk around and see, especially when the sun is setting you can get the best pictures. And there bull is always cool to see, he was especially photogenic during our evening there. Definitely bring your camera! Food was worth the wait, as always, it never disappoints! Service once we were seated was the best, you don’t feel rushed even though they get your food coming to you. Their speedy service is definitely appreciated! The complimentary cotton candy at the end of the meal was so good.

A bit of a wait to be seated even though we had reservations, but great service. Tony was our server and was outstanding. There was 10 of us, including 4 somewhat rambunctious kids, but Tony was very patient and friendly. One of the best burgers I've had in a while. Fun family place.

We arrived at 6:35pm on a Monday night. It was just after the sunset had shown it's brilliance and we thought it might be a quick path to a seat. It was not stuck but it was worth the wait. We checked and in and provided our phone number to be texted when our table was ready. The website linked in the text kept us up to speed on how many were to be sat ahead of us. We had a cold drink while seated in the bar and after about 50 minutes we were notified of our table being ready. We were escorted to the downstairs hall and arrived at a table which had a very nice view out over the city. We were greeted by our server and warm fresh Indian fry bread. This was a treat! We knew what we wanted as we had time to view the menu while waiting. We ordered and were promptly brought the salad which is included with every meal. The food arrived about 15 minutes later and was delicious. It arrived hot and just as wet ordered it. The experience was excellent and we will certainly include this spot in our rotation of places to go for a great Steak with a casual and fun atmosphere. Plenty more to say about this place as it has such character but you should see it for yourselves! Check out the slide bit only one at a time.

Place is really cool to take kids view is beautiful food is okay nothing good to brag about. My daughter's saw tables getting cotton candy and after our meal we asked our waitress for 1 she said the machine has been down for 2 weeks we understood and took pictures in the photo booth as we were walking out right in the gift shop cotton candy we asked for one the girl at the counter said the waitress will take it to our table and we told her what she told us and gave us 1. Just weird she didn't know?
