I loved this place previous to the pandemic. I attended multiple classes& was very happy. During March all classes were cancelled and they still decided to charge a membership fee, which isn't cheap. Then once THEY decided it was a good time to reopen they charged another membership fee without my approval or knowledge. I asked for a refund, explaining how unethical it is& explaining I can't join classes considering the pandemic. I have contacted them about random charges that werent approved before the pandemic as well, and it seems everytime they receive this type of inquiry, they decide it's best to ignore it. I had to get a new credit card& block them from charges because I do not trust them as a money hungry business. Please beware of unauthorized charges! Find a cheaper yoga studio that doesn't engage in shady practices

I would give 0 if I can. They pretend as if they care about community but they don't. Rebecca, the owner, is a sneaky lady, who charge me without notification during the Covid. I emailed them That I won't work out in the studio during the pendemic and I guess they decided to ignore it. They never pick up the phone too. I heard I am not the only one who has this issue. I will change my card so they can't steal my money any longer.

I am really disappointed in my experience at this studio - the new student rate is misleading, I was turned away from practicing, and they have still not refunded my money after over 90 days and seven email requests for a refund. I was in town visiting and was so excited for the new student rate - I bought one for both my partner and I. We were only in town for a few days but wanted to try a few of their classes because they looked really fun! We got to the studio and were told that, because we were from out of town, we didn't qualify for the rate, which I had already paid for both of us. I was disappointed, but willing to pay for a drop in for the class that we had shown up to do. Then they said they don't have drop in rates, only \day passes\ which means you can do all the yoga you want for a day. The cost would have been higher than any drop-in rate I have paid in much bigger cities/studios (Chicago, Washington DC, New York, etc.) and we didn't have time for more than one class that day. Then they offered to refund me the cost of the memberships and go on my merry way. So I was frustrated that I didn't get to practice, but decided to get the refund and go rock climbing instead. I didn't let it ruin my day! Fast forward over three months later. FINALLY in December (60 days later) they refunded me ONE of the passes. They have still not refunded me the second pass. I don't enjoy writing negative reviews. I'm disappointed that a studio who claims to want to bring yoga to everyone would engage in these types of, at best, misleading, at worst dishonest, tactics to get money. This is not what yoga is about.

I tested out quite a few yoga studios when I moved to Phoenix but Sutra was the one that felt like the community I was looking for. Rebecca and the instructors are amazing and have great energy. They offer a fun variety of classes, workshops and meditations. I highly recommend Sutra for their positivity and affordability!

I attended one introductory class and the owner/studio manager sat in the back of the room the entire time on her cell phone. At first I thought she was taking notes but by half way through the class she was laying down holding her phone above her face, seemingly scrolling. It was very distracting and disrespectful for all the students and the teacher. I wrote to express my dissatisfaction with my class and asked for a refund. At no time did they offer to refund my experience and never actually apologized. Then they didn't reply to me for 6 days and now I'm stuck in some email exchange that is untimely, convoluted, and doesn't take ownership for their mistake. I wouldn't recommend this studio or the management.
