The Good - I’ve lived at 4 apartment complexes throughout the valley over the last 10 years. Lauren, the apartment manager, is by FAR THE BEST manager. Scott, the head of maintenance, is also really awesome. The location is amazing, I love this neighborhood, I’m moving out of state but otherwise I’d have stayed here. They keep the ground really clean and are quick to respond to tenants. The apartments are older but they’re slowly remodeling and updating just about everything, both internal and external, so I never noticed anything really significant. The Bad - 1. depending on apartment location, mine is in the middle of the building, you can hear the neighbors. I’ve been pretty fortunate and had good neighbors but there’s been occasions where I can hear banging, conversations, and running water - I’m sure they get that from me at times as well. That’s pretty typical for apartment living but if you have an apartment on the end you don’t really get as much of it. 2. Nothing to do with the apartment so much as overall location but we’re in the downtown of a big city so there’s the occasional kids making trouble near the canal and druggies along the canal. As a female I am cautious and don’t go out much at night and if I do I stay in well lit areas but that should be common sense for most women.

Love living here! The upgrades in my apartment make it feel like new. Being right on the canal and walking distance to good coffee and places to eat is a major plus. I've been here almost three years now and plan on renewing.
Lauren, the property manager, is the best thing about this place. She's always very helpful and thoughtful. The apartments are nice and in a great location next to the canal and lots of places to eat and shop within walking distance.
I’ve lived here for 3 years and I must say it was such a pleasant experience. Lauren is a rockstar of a property manager and everyone in the community is very friendly. Everything from the location, amenities, constantly having food trucks, the friends I’ve made, all of it was a blast! I’m really going to miss living here but I couldn’t recommend this place more! If your thinking about moving into this area, The Lex is by far the best bang for your buck. Gated community in the heart of uptown is a rare find and I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to live here.
I lived at the Lex for nearly 1.5 years and could not have had a better experience. The office staff and manager were nothing short of amazing and we’re always so helpful if I needed anything, extremely accommodating. It’s a fun, safe community and would highly recommend to anyone whether you’re living alone or with family. I cannot say enough nice things about this property or it’s management. I’ve lived in apartments all of my adult life and this was my absolute favorite property not only because of the spacious beautiful units but because the whole process was made easy and stress free from management.
