TLC is not a swanky place, but it isn't suppose to be. If you are looking for freedom from addiction... if you are looking to turn your life around... this is the place to go. Yes, there rules to follow. Yes, it is super structured. But it's all for a reason. And if you're like me and came from the streets, you'll be grateful for all they do offer. TLC gave me a chance and now I have over two years sober. I am eternally grateful.

This place saved my life.l never thought it possible to have a different life until I came here they showed me a new way to live and most importantly how to forgive myself and others the tools I learned here I will carry with me throughout the rest of my life
They're big on intimidation.
PLEASE I REPEAT PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE. A FAMILY MEMBER OF MINE WAS HERE. THEY SERVE EXPIRED FOOD, HAVE NO AIR, PICK WHAT RULES TO ENFORCE AND TO WHO. I HAD TO TAKE THIS FAMILY MEMBER TO THE HOSPITAL DUE TO THEIR CONDITIONS. I ASKED WHY DO PEOPLE STAY HERE? THEY ARE HOMELESS BUT THEY TREAT THEM LIKE DOGS LITTERALLY. THE PEOPLE THERE JUST DONT HAVE ANYONE TO SPEAK FOR THEM. I WILL BE REPORTING ON THIS AND CONTACTING MY LAWYER DUE TO HAVING POA OF THIS FAMILY MEMBER. THEY EVEN PICK IF THEY WANT TO SERVE THEM BREAKFAST. ALOT OF PEOPLE A CANNOT TAKE MEDS WITHOUT FOOD BUT.... STAFF DOESN'T CARE THEY WILL GIVE THEM THE MEDS ANYWAYS EVEN IF THEY SPEAK UP.
I was admitted there they have a morning chores that you had to do plus my med time was late I didn't get my noon time meal I had to the hospital for health reasons then I got yelled at when I got back plus if you don't pay you get booted no bus passes or rides provided.i did learn alot from them and I have meet alot of people I still want to talk to.they took me in when they didn't have too
I have never been a resident at TLC however I've taken many CMA H&I meetings there. Staff is great and their program really seems to work.
