I booked a flight for my family last summer on Volaris. Due to COVID we had to cancel and received a voucher for 1,200 in future flights. When it came time to rebook they told me my voucher expired two days prior and I was out of luck. The customer experience email I sent was never answered and the customer service person I called was rude and told me there is nothing they can do for me. This company is truly in it for themselves and has no regard for their passengers or the current global environment. Buyer Beware!

I have tried to contact you numerous times and at this point I am fed up. I had a flight originally scheduled 3-21-20 which is now scheduled for 9-22-20. Due to the global pandemic, the US borders were shut down for NON ESSENTIAL travel the same weekend my flight was scheduled. I was afraid of not being able to get back into the US on my trip back. Due to these circumstances I needed to cancel my flight. I spent countless hours trying to get a hold of your airline over the phone, online, messenger, etc... I was never able to reach anyone and the day before my flight I was forced to change it online since there was no one to help me cancel it. Not a single representative of this airline was there to give options or answers which I so desperately needed at that point. It was one of the most stressful moments of my life trying to decide what the best option was while trying to deal with my country facing a national emergency and global pandemic. I had plans to visit my father which I have not seen in over 3 years and to have to forcefully change that flight was heartbreaking. I have had to wait an additional 6 months to see him and completely change my plans around. I was charged 70 to change the dates of travel. Again, this is not what I wanted at all and it is absolutely ridiculous to have to pay for something completely out of my control. Charging customers to change their flights in the midst of a GLOBAL pandemic is so unethical and appalling. I spoke with a CSR yesterday afternoon and after telling me she was going to transfer me to a supervisor, I was transferred to a busy message that played over and over again until eventually I got hung up on. I will continue to reach out until I get my money back. I will be waiting for a response. I have always flown with Volaris in the past and now I am seriously considering never traveling with this airline again. Customer service is severely lacking! Susana Coronado

Worst experience ever, when I was flying back to the us they obviously went through my baggage. And allot of my clothes where missing. We had to pay for our luggage’s and then they get searched and then they take stuff. If I could rate this place -1000 I would, I think I’d have more trust in a bagel to give a good service that this airline couldn’t even provide, every person was rude, if only I remembered that lady’s name, she gave us dirty looks. If you want to have the worst trip of your life I really recommend this flight. It will make you loose hope in humanity.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS AIRLINE! I live in Phoenix, AZ and I purchased round trip tickets for 2 from Tijuana to La Paz Mexico, (after flying to San Diego on Southwest), and also purchased Travel Insurance. The night before the trip (October 25, 2019),my travelling companion and domestic partner's ex-husband passed away unexpectedly. As she has 2 children to support and arrangements to help them with we had to cancel. I called Volaris that evening and they instructed me to file a claim with the agency that handles their travel insurance. That agency ran me through the wringer for weeks and now months and they refuse to refund my tickets, even though I bought the travel insurance! First I submitted several pieces of paperwork, death certificate, receipts, passports, etc. Then they questioned the validity of why we felt we complied with the terms of the insurance when my partner was divorced from the deceased. Then they questioned why I still didn't make the trip when my partner and I are not married! Now its been weeks of silence. They feel that since they are in Mexico we have no legal standing to pursue this. I'm out 500 and all I can do is write reviews cautioning all to take an American airline when traveling to Mexico. The lack of customer service and potential loss of your travel funds isn't worth the lower fare.
