Piedmont Natural Gas is hands down (in my book) the best utility company I have dealings with. They have always been courteous, extremely flexible and accommodating. I have been a customer with them for almost 18 years. In that time I have never had a bad experience. They are the epitome of good business.
I asked what I needed to do to get new service at my new house, and that I needed the existing range disconnected and a new range connected. They directed me to go to the website and complete the Start Service from there. After I did that, I called to confirm that they were able to disconnect and connect on my scheduled visit. That's when they told me it would have to be a separate appointment coordinated through sales. Okay, fine. I'll do that. Except sales was gone for the day I guess, and they registered my call with them. They told me that sales would get back to me within 3-5 days. DAYS. I was SURE that I had heard wrong, but the rep on the phone confirmed that it would take 3-5 days for their sales department to get back to me. An absurd level of customer service.
I was disrespected on the phone by a very rude man today. I am so disappointed in the way he conducted himself and how he lied.
Katrina was my point of contact when I had to turn my service off due to a move, and she was delightful! The sort of kindness that puts you in a good mood for the rest of the day!
