The staff is great and very knowledgable Part is self tour and to see the \good planes\ is a guided tour in that hangar. A great place if you are a member of Harvest Hosts! We spent the evening watching planes. You should go!

Great place to learn SDNG history.
If you are in Pierre SD, this is a small niche museum you must see. It's simple but done with heart that comes from pride in service to the Nation. We've come to really appreciate in our travels how much pride the \locals\ put into places like this...so, stop by and support this tribute to Americans who served their nation in combat.
Nice little museum down by the Missouri River. The building was closed when I visited, but there were enough outdoor exhibits to make it worth a side trip.
A great little museum to visit if you are visiting Pierre. It might be recommended for nonresidents to set map directions as it isn't necessarily located in a popular area of travel. A great place for people like myself who enjoy military history and continual learning. I personally enjoyed our visit, despite not all our children being as excited as I was. Unfortunately generational differences don't necessarily allow this place to be as enjoyable for teenagers. It is definitely recommended for younger children as my grandsons had a wonderful time.
