My wife picked up some ground coffee for us to brew at home. The "Cold as Heck!" blend is excellent! Highly recommend. I'm looking forward to trying out the Storyteller we also picked up.

Unparalleled customer service combined with incredibly tasty coffee makes Pilcrow one of my favorite, local, small businesses! After I was unable to pick up an order this weekend, the owner took it upon himself to drive my order all the way out to my house and hand-deliver it personally in some really awful weather after he finished up roasting for the night. I am so impressed with how he and his team was immediately willing to go the extra mile for a customer. Big, big shoutouts to Jessica K. and Ryan L.! You’ve got a customer for life!
When will this business open again? Some people posting reviews say they bought coffee here in the past week, but it has been marked as temporarily closed for a few months now. What’s going on?? Can’t wait to try your espresso!!

Lovely place! Absolutely loved the coffee and the owner was delightful to talk with about the coffee. We actually took a coffee class that he led at the urban ecology center

I happened upon Pilcrow from a random search when I was in the neighborhood. While my requirements were simply being open and near me, I certainly lucked out in that it was a great latte. I had a 12 ounce latte which was a not unreasonable 5, and it tasted terrific. Milk was frothed well, roast was tasty, and the staff were very knowledgeable about it. While they did have light food, I didn't have any. I was not enthusiastic about the chairs, but they did not have many seating options. While I don't live in town, I certainly plan on making it back to Milwaukee in the future, and will have another drink here!
