Pretty views, but VERY crowded. The trail is steep and narrow in many places. The entire stretch of the trail has fishermen absolutely everywhere. Must be a good spot if that many people still go but not a secluded getaway trail for sure. Parking lot fills up by 9

Lots of anglers, is that the right word? But a nice hike too. Eventually the trail gets over grown as it gets down to the river. I turned around at that point About 3 miles in.

Beautiful hike in a beautiful canyon!@ if you are there to fish, bring your big boy/girl pants as the fish are entitled and will snub you at any imperfections of your presentation. Any disappointment is overlooked by the beauty of the canyon!!! Gave fun and enjoy a great area!@

It’s amazing. Great for fly fishing. With luck, you might catch one or two during winter but during summer it’s perfect.

Gorgeous trail following the Platte river. Pleasant walk on an easy trail to follow. Amazing views.
