I was taken to the Emergency room at Moore regional for paralysis from the waist down that had developed in just a few hours. I had low back surgery in July2016 and November 2016 that apparently had been botched by another Neurosurgeon in South Carolina. Dr. Fromke was the Neurosurgeon on call for the ER that evening and I consider getting him was a blessing from God! He did an urgent surgery and spent almost 7 hours on my surgery. I am having excellent recovery and have great faith in his skills. If not for him it was possible I would be in a wheelchair for the rest of my life. I am 58 and I tell everyone about him!
Dad went here on a referral, his primary doctor had him all hyped up about a new surgery that he was eligible for to alleviate his back and neck pain. We were completely disappointed in the quality of care Fromke provided. He was overtly perfunctory, commented on what tests had not been done (despite the long medical history my Vietnam veteran father has), and basically said there was nothing he could do... bet he still bills the insurance even though \there is nothing I can do.
I was referred to Dr Fromke and was totally dissatisfied. He referred me to a pain specialist for an injection that he would not or feel the need to explain to me only saying that they would know what he was referring to and they would have his report within 30 minutes! Here it is 18 days later and even after the pain Dr calling still no report. I will certainly never go to this office again or refer him to anyone. Dr Fromke in my opinion absolutely has no respect for a hurting, in constant pain patient. Should have done what my first gut feeling was and go to Duke! Proves Pinehurst doesn’t have the best Dr’s at all.
I had fallen off my horse 3 months before. I am 66 years old. Columbus county did CT scan but sent me home. I was feeling fine. No problems. On third month I felt a very very little numbness in my two fingers on left side. I had appointment for reg Dr. He sent me for MRI. Dr Fromke did emergency . It happened so fast I had no idea what was about to happen. This Dr Michael D. Fromke MD did a wonderful wonderful job explaining what he must do to TRY to save my life. I have 3 holes in my head where they had to drain blood and get clots out. I was feeling fine so good I only took Tylenol and up walking next day. Dismissed on 3rd day. I had a wonderful PA Robert (Andy)Bibey. This surgery was done President Ronald Reagan when he fell off his horse before he left office.
