A very short but challenging trail. Make sure you have a decent lift, tire size, and at least a locker in the rear. I noticed the trail is becoming more crowded now that more people know about it and you can get stuck behind a group for hours if they don't know what they're doing.
A class 6 or 7 rock crawling trail, it is not for the faint of heart. Front and rear locker a plus, could probably get by with just a rear locker. 2-4\ of lift and at least 35\ tires to get through the largest of boulder obstacles here. There are tight squeezes and a lot of turns requiring guidance. Best to bring a Hi-Lift jack along as two members of our 6-member group- one with the least amount of clearance and one with the most- got hung up. The drive in is one of the best parts! The scenery along Rattlesnake Canyon and the Springs Road is stunning, with the most mature Joshua trees I've seen set in contrast to the smooth rock of the mountains.
