A well organized public range. This is the place to come and toss some lead. They’re helpful and knowledgeable.

I took my brother here for his birthday on a Sat morning, and it was not packed at all. The staff was very friendly and helpful with the procedure and rules. The prIces weren't bad at all either. They even gave my bro a box of free ammo:) Will definitely be coming back to this place.

Nice range to shoot rifles, particularly, as this is one of only a couple in California that has up to 1000 yards. They offer gun rentals and ammo, or you are free to bring own (non-magnetic). They have a refrigerator with basic drink and food items for sale, but best to pack your own lunch. Staff is very helpful, but limited. Most times I've been on weekdays the range is not very busy. To drive to this location, you will take the 126 freeway for 20 minutes northwest from Santa Clarita, along highway 126, or the same distance east from Santa Paula, and the last 5 minutes of the drive is on a dirt road, so you will need to keep speed slow.

Had to give it 1 star because it wouldn't allow me to give it no stars. It was a miserable experience. Had made reservations over a month in advance for a range experience for two. Had heard about possible fires in the area. Not to mention the weather was becoming alot more hotter than usual. Called the day before to see if they were going to be open. They indeed stated they were. Took the hour and a half drive just to discover their public range was closed due to excessive heat. There were NO instructors available, and NO said equipment available! Only 2 employees were running the entire range. An older man and a younger one. They were only allowing private members on site. They really had no idea how to handle the situation. The older man had an \oh well\ attitude while his younger coworker seemed more concerned. When asked why I wasn't notified about the closure, the younger worker simply said \there were too many people to notify.\ I had told the worker there I had called the day before. I had heard about the possible fires in the area but being that my appointment was for 9:30 am I wasn't worried. The older man said \ it must've been decided later in the day.\ Now if these people can't be bothered to notify paying customers via a phone call or an email, then driving to their secluded range about a possible closure due to safety concerns, can you seriously trust them with your safety handling fire arms??? A simple courtesy phone call or an email. Very unprofessional and clearly a pure waste of time!

I've enjoyed myself every time I've gone here. I'm a gun noob so it was my first time going to a range. (I've been here three or four times). Each time I've found the staff to be quite helpful and nice. They even recognized me and my friend, even though I'd only been there two or three times.
