I purchased the swing set from Walmart.ca. I received it within a week which was great. Upon opening the boxes to see if everything was there, we realized we were missing numerous pieces, including the hardware bag. I sent a lengthy email detailing what we were missing. They didn’t appear to read any of it and I had to resend another email. It took over 3 weeks to receive the missing parts. Again, we were missing over half of what should’ve been sent. I phoned their office. No apologies or anything for the inconvenience. It felt like I was putting them out for their mistake. I received the missing pieces about a week later- and again I was missing some pieces. I phoned again, and again no apologies. The swing set is nice, however I would never use this company again based off of this experience.

Started this project Wednesday and placed the last bolt on Friday totalling to about 15 hours. Our Method: The builder The organizer The organizer will need to lay all 4 boxes out (the parts are scattered) and organize them by letters then numbers. The organizer will keep the book and have each step with the parts ready for the builder (this helps by avoiding over looking steps) while the builder is working on that step the organizer will prepare the following step. Once the builder completed that step the organizer will take a quit glance and ensure the step is accurate. (This helps overall accuracy) The builder will download the BILT app on their phone and use that as a secondary instruction manual with step by step and 3D animated instructions. The builder and organizer will continuously be on the same step. This method helps ease the stress. There builder doesn't have to worry about scrambling everywhere looking for parts and the organizer doesn't have to worry about the labor. This splits the work and stress down the middle. Before you know it your done. Note: Be careful with the T-Nuts as they have sharp claw edges. I sliced my finger on one when drilling the bolt into it using my hand as a guide to keep it secure it warped on me, spun and flew off while cutting my finger, ensure you hammer each T-Nut in the hole before applying the bolt with the impact wrench or drill, at times you may want to hammer the T-Nut further into the wood than just flushed, this will help it remain secure when torquing the bolt down. If the T-Nut does catch correctly it will spin against the wood and the T-Nut is warped. Use a ladder when you start the crows nest area, it's much safer and you'll have more room to work. Good luck.
Bought a playhouse from the company last year, took awhile to put together, but all of them do. Great product in and end and the kids loved it. Well I woke up one morning and found after a big windstorm that I had about 1000 pounds of tree branch resting on top. Took out the roof and some other pieces, but I'll be darned if the thing was still 90% together. Got on their website and found all the pieces pretty easily, just printed the manual online, highlighted all the pieces I had to replace, found them on their website, and went to order them. Had to call them on the phone for some help, and they were super helpful. I'll absolutely be ordering again in the future, but hopefully not for broken stuff!
We have purchased 2 BACKYARD DISCOVERY swingsets & 2 BACKYARD DISCOVERY play house's from Walmart. Also, 3 BACKYARD DISCOVERY PERGOLA'S from Menards... We are so impressed with everthing from this company! Easy to put together and always looks sharp... The hardware on the pergalas is rustic am's high-end! We highly recommend these outdoor yard space and play activities!
Missing parts of our Atlas Swing Set and took a long time to get the replacement parts that were missing from original order. Entire process has been a pain with Go Configure and Backyard Discovery. Been months since we purchased and we still have the swing set sprawled out across our backyard. Not sure when this nightmare will end.
