I quit using axe library when I couldn't find a working keyboard or a working printer. Public library is great and you aren't forced to use banana bucks

Not a bad library at all for a small campus, especially with the renovations. Clean, quiet space to work with a coffee shop.

As a former student and a former employee of this wonderful place I wanted to finally put my review in and I would like to stress its importance. During the wonderful 3 years I worked here as a student assistant I was surrounded by a warm and kind atmosphere with wonderful co workers and amazing bosses. There was always help to be found and the job had a wonderful balance of time for the students who chose to work here. Work got done and there was the option of being able to study and relax and get homework done. I think this was and is essential for the college of Pittsburg state university to take into account. The students should be a priority and not so much the money. While I can understand the problems plaguing the campus of late I do not find that to be an excuse to not prioritizing its students and their care. I am certainly not the only one concerned with the library's recent changes especially to the work environment. The warm atmosphere is slowly being turned into one of cold and uncaring towards its students employees and I would argue its students by extension. I would like those with the power to take a step back and look at the students and its student employees and see that things have taken a nose dive. I can firmly say the 3 years I worked here were the best of my life so far and by far the best job. I care about it immensely so I want and wish for it and its student employees as well as the students themselves to feel that warm atmosphere again and be able to reintroduce that balance of work and study to the library because it is an amazingly important balance to have for the student employees and the students. I feel this could be easily done and Its not all feelings either that I base my opinion on. In short do not let this place become cold but bring back that balance and let that balance of study and work come again and stay. As they say if its not broke don't fix it.

Theft, how irritating that it is so relevant at a university. I wasn't even gone that long and im out 250. This university is kinda not what I expected higher ed. to be like.

An absolutely abysmal excuse for a university library. Try as they might, completely ineffective staff. Contacting them by phone is disturbingly difficult. If you DO succeed, they’re either rude and ignorant or kind and ignorant. Lastly, don’t expect any help with research beyond Google or an elementary walkthrough of their unintuitive website (which mostly outsources to other unintuitive websites) by someone who barely knows how to use a computer themselves. I’d suggest the Pittsburg Public Library if you need an institution that still has the good old fashioned decency to honor its responsibility to the public (let alone its paying constituents). At a university! Lol, smh. Truly unbelievable.
