The BEST build your own pizza around! There is simply no better deal on an unlimited topping, 6 pie. The guy who is always working is absolutely classic and nothing beats the basement smell whether it be at dinner time during the week or 3AM on a Friday night. Gotta love the conveyor belt oven too.

Probably the best option for a great tasting low price pizza. At, 5.50(w/o tax) you get to choose the base sauce, the cheese, and every topping. This kind of flexibility is usually not present at any of the great pizza places. You have around 6-7 different sauce options at first. Then you have to choose the cheese, again with about 6-7 options. Next you have to choose proteins, (you can also ask them to slightly add more of anything if you want to). Then you have vegetables and vegetarian toppings. There is also Pineapple for people who do like that. At the end, they pass it through an oven, and give you a hot tasty pizza of your own flavour. A must visit for those having a crunch with respect to money.
Pie Express is the absolute best, especially when you’re wandering around on a Saturday night and need something quick, greasy, and cheesy to eat, and you descend into the basement and see the one guy who works there, who you know on a first-name basis, and you make banter while he makes you glorious pie. The atmosphere is warm and jovial; it’s all people like you, fun people, good people. You swim among them. At the register - 6! Best deal in Oakland. ⵜⴰⵏⵎⵎⵉⵔⵜ, guys.
This place is such good value. Only 6 for a whole pizza, and it is also very good pizza as well (I got BBQ chicken pizza and loved it). Great speed as well; the pizzas only take 3 minutes to complete cooking. 100% would go here again.

Outstanding food as it's fresh and cheap. Everything is 5.58 whether it's a made-to-order pizza, hoagie or salad. Once again, you can't go wrong when you stop in here but there may be a line as many college students go here because of the above.
Ordered online, informed to pickup 12:25pm, went there, it was closed?!?! Tried to call, but no one picked up. Ended up going to McDonalds.
