Wonderful weekday noon mass - great way to receive Holy Eucharist without the potential \crowds\ of a weekend mass (although even Sunday, Dec 20 was comfortably low in attendance) - I would like to see attendees maintaining the 6ft spacing guidelines when going up the aisle to receive communion, but otherwise very safe distancing and full mask compliance by all. Priest and readers did a wonderful job... and it's just so nice to attend in person!! Our new baby granddaughter was baptized there on 12/20, and we couldn't have been happier with the arrangements! A wonderful parish with lots of volunteers to pitch in to sanitize the pews after each mass. God bless!!

A beautiful Cathedral with an amazing structure and peaceful atmosphere!
It was very special. It was a mass for my beloved wife for her Brithday.
St. Paul Cathedral is the seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh, of which David Zubik is the Bishop. The cathedral is the most ornate beautiful building I've ever been in. The noon Mass is usually the one with the professional choir and so I recommend that one to any Catholics visiting Oakland. Also the organ is awesome! Kneeling for prayer after communion while the organ is blasting and the choir is signing in Latin is unbeatable.
Historic Cathedral for the Roman Catholic Dioceses of Pittsburgh. Very picturesque inside & out. Very talented organist. Mass is attended by the local academic community & surrounding neighborhoods. There is also a lively young adult community. Confession is great on the weekends especially. Low lines, understanding & thoughtful Priests. The Cathedral has wheelchair access & parking. Limited parking lot on site. Streets are available for parking. Sunday you can park for free & weekdays after 6PM. Sometimes the Oakland Catholic girls High school lot is available for parking during special occasions. (not all the time) There are restrooms with diaper stations (open only During services) There is a water cooler. During summer there is air conditioning. Note there is a standard fare of panhandlers after masses.
