Protech makes the best knives I have ever had. While getting ready to deploy to Iraq, I saw online the Protech Godfather. I decided to get one. Due to circumstances beyond my control, I had to get a another one in 2007. That knife was with me for two more deployments in Iraq and one in Afghanistan, where I was wounded and got medically discharged. On 21 July 2020 the spring broke and I called Protech and sent my 13 year old knife to them to fix and they not only fixed the spring but it was free and it was back in my hands on the 28 July 2020, and with a new blade to boot. The customer service was the best I have ever experienced. I honestly felt like I was important to them. The lady I talked to showed me kindness and respect. I believe she truly understood how important my old abused knife meant to me(it has been my security blanket for a long time). She also called me, to inform me when they were getting ready to mail it back to me. I will never buy any other knife then a Protech. It’s honestly not worth the money that you pay for it because in my opinion, it’s worth a lot more than what they charge for it. When you have a Protech knife, you will feel safer knowing that you have the most dependable knife on the planet. Protech thank you for helping me and fixing my old abused buddy.

Most unique knives made great customer service and great employees
I just read a short historical review of USA company, \Protech\. After owning other USA knives including Case, Buck, Chris Reeve, Brench Made and Spyderco, my first Protech knife, a BR-1.52 \Whiskers\ Desgin Tuxedo immediately convinces me that Protech belongs in the same conversation with those knives in terms of quality and innovation. The knife blade is perfectly centered open and closed. The aluminum handle is really solid. The opening spring and closed locking mechanism are totally solid, providing100% surface on the open locking. I'm not positive, but it appears there is a bushing in the pivot. All fasteners are recessed to flat with their handle location and I presume the locations are countersunk to accommodate this detailed and expensive design. No corners were cut with this knife and it has a comfortable handle with no real hot spots, even with clip on the scale. The bolster is fastened to the spring in some manner and the spring whips the blade out in an eyelash of time. Opening and closing are satisfying and the sound is amazing. Among the best I've heard as this sound screams high quality. There is not a scintilla of blade movement in travel or locked open in any direction tested including the 4 poles. This knife has no real jimping and yet the construction is so solid that this knife could handle medium to even some heavy work. The black treatment not only includes the blade but the fasteners and the clip. The back spring insert gives the knife a very rigid and solid feel. Testing, down the road should confirm that the mechanism is long-lasting. Once that test is past this knife will hold its original value, at least. The next iteration will have a better steel which will then make this one of the world's elite knives. AF
My Pro-tech Emerson CQ7 is the best knife I've ever owned.
