Honestly the place has good intentions but a very slow process. Became homeless a while back and was in there 17 and younger program but as soon as I'm 18 I'm officially on the streets and ive signed up for the 18 but there is a waiting list. The weather just keeps getting worse and worse and they keep suggesting the same \solutions\ all other shelters are either full or wont take me and my friend both and I think it would be cruel to leave her out on the streets alone. While most people within the program seems to not even be working yet I don't understand why they cant make an opening for those who are truly trying to do something with their lives. Just had my own interview and I've been sleeping on the streets with my friend....barley even in cover from the rain. Although they feed us they are housing the people who are taking advantage of it in the wrong way. I need a place to stay I don't need to keep moving every night.... Every hour just so i don't get in trouble with the police because I'm homeless. I can't afford to a ticket bc im trying to save up for a budget suite since city house refuses to help even put me within a hotel atleast bc of the fact that I'm about to start working. They don't acknowledge it they only care about the weed smokers in their current care... The hours for us to be in their community center is also messed up but that's another story for another time.
