My application was denied due to me being divorced less than a year ago. That doesn't bother me. What bothers me is that the first 30 minutes of orientation was a lot of rambling when they could've been going over what will automatically disqualify you.
I remember being in this foster care family it was good not great but still good surprising that I'm 13 now an I was in this foster care system when I was 3 years old can't believe I still remember this but I can definitely remember my father abusing me that's how I remember it he killed my real mother an baby sister I was told I was found in a corner of a room my other an sister were found dead across the room a nice lady came grabbed me took me to safety I started crying they tried calling me down but was crying cause I loved my baby sister an I saw when we walked out of the house. When my father was firering bullets a bullet went thru the window an hit my very first ever horse malu.m. that is my foster care story.
Don't waste your time! They want to control your adoption process and when you don't do it their way they stop working with you. They had a guy come out for a 4 hour home study. Then they sent a lady out for 3 hours to clear up things from the first home study. This is really important because now that I'm working with CPS directly I needed a home study to speed up my process. When we called Covenant Kids they said we didn't have a home study, it was an interview. The crazy thing is we just had a real home study which was very similar to the BS interview we had from Covenant Kids. So if you have no idea what type of family you want Covenant Kids would be a great place but if you have a vision for your family seek other options. Good Luck!
