This is a good school. The people who work here are very nice. Students do a good job! I have been coming to this location for 2 years and there education must be good because I have not had one bad experience during my visits here. Also, the school has a lot of clients if your not at the school before 10:30 a.m. be ready to wait because every morning they have a line waiting out the door before they open. People here wait because the students and instructors do a great job so do not complain if there is a wait time. These are students and they are learning. You want in and out go to great clips. I hate seeing reviews about the wait time it's a school and the students have to take their time on clients hair.
I went today to I.T.S. Academy in Plano. I got their around 5:00 P.M. right when they were closing. However, Michael the Career Counselor stayed and gave me a tour of the facility. Which I thought was very nice. He was very welcoming and took his time to answer all my questions and concerns. Also, didn't feel pressured to sign - up right away he was not trying sell me a fantasy and sugar coat everything which I felt like other schools were doing . He took time to explain how the business works what to expect when graduating and went over the whole curriculum with me and explained what I will be learning with them. Explained how financial aid works in detail and gave me a clear breakdown of tuition. I like people who are upfront and honest with me and straight to the point. I toured the school is small and welcoming and the instructors were very cool. Some students were still there and Michael left me to talk with them on my own and ask questions. From what I got from the students there really like it and everyone was cool. Also, I work full time and they have full time and part time schedules. The night class is Mon - Fri 5:30p.m. - 9:30p.m. which is perfect for me. So I signed up and looking forward to starting on 04-29-2019. I recommend that everyone should give this school a chance you will see that the vibe is pretty cool and the train you on a lot of things that most other schools don't teach. I'm ready to start my journey! Thank you Mr. Michael for all your help!
It's Academy of Beauty has several locations. Let me explain why I no longer visit It's in Irving and now Arlington for service other than wash.... It's AB Plano listens to you. You tell them what you want and they confirm it and repeat it to you. Not just the students but the staff. They make sure they understand exactly what you want... At Plano, I don't ask for \A\ service and get \C\ just because \they\ feel like changing what I ask for to a service they want to do... At Plano if a student is uncertain they ask the instructor for insight. At It's Academy Plano... I understand it's a \beauty school\ but this is what set Plano apart from other \leadership\... when I go into Plano \It's\ the service is equal to my Professional Salon visits, not less. The school service may take longer than a salon but the quality of work is equally compatible... PERIOD
I.T.S. Academy in Plano is great school. This is my honest review of the campus and my experience. Recently, graduated a week ago. First, my admissions process was simple and easy and one of the reasons I chose this school was there not all about the money. They also have the lowest tuition compared to ogles and other big named cosmetology schools. They always give scholarships as well. They have a great cosmetology kit with great tools all name brand and up to date stuff stylist in the salons actually use. Not cheap tools. The instructors are great they actually teach you on current styles and techniques. Most beauty schools I have heard just get you state board ready which is the basic techniques and skills. The classes to are small so you get a lot of attention with your instructor especially if you are struggling with anything. All the instructors here to still work in the field as well and have many years of experience. Also, they work with your schedule very flexible. I'm a single mother of 3 and they really helped when it came to my hours and attending school which helped me a lot. The Director Tanya is so awesome and understanding and does anything and everything to help the students and she is just great! The only negative thing and not really that bad is the school is older and it doesn't look that pretty but the school is honestly so much more than that the staff and the education is worth it. I would 100% recommend this school to anyone. If you truly want a good school experience choose ITS Academy Plano.
