Great. But price us steep but I keep going back for the ribs and BBQ sauce. I travel 40 minutes away, so that means the food is great. They should open a location in Antioch. Oakley and numerous other spots to lower the travel. However, when I take that long trip I know my order will be correct, accurate and delicious. So I am okay with the sacrifice

Celebrated a belated Christmas dinner with the family at Back Forty last Saturday night. A family member wanted to change things up from the usual potluck-action at someone's house. Nothing says Christmas like Texas BBQ (whah?) I love bbq--always have, always will. One thing the Bay Area seems to lack is good bbq restaurants. I'm sure there will be many that disagree, but I haven't found many. Our party of 8 had reservations and were immediately sat upon arrival. The joint was pretty crowded so it was a good thing we had them. After a few minutes of deciding who was going to sit where, our server Michelle arrived to take drink orders. Straight to the food: I went with the 12 oz prime rib after much deliberation--bbq was the other choice. On that night I was craving a little beef. It was fantastic. The meat was tender and so full of flavor. I like prime rib and will only order it at places where I know it will be good. BF does a very nice job. The side of mixed vegetables and garlic mash were heavenly and the perfect complement. The au jus and horse radish cream were like the star on the top of the Christmas tree. Just thinking about it now makes me salivate. Wow. I cleaned my plate like it was an eating contest. Other family members had the bbq and it looked and smelled wonderful. I've had BF many times, so I know it was good. Even one of our picky-eater family members managed to clean his plate. All in all, it was a very good night. A tip of the cap to Michelle who had to have the patience of a nun to serve our table. She was simply awesome--attentive and courteous. We loved her. I will most definitely be back.
Back Forty Texas BBQ delivers very good service, reasonable prices and the ribs and wings were on point! We all had a very good time here and will be back soon. Thanks for making our eve awesome.
I prefer this place very much. there is a very special atmosphere. The food is good. the service is powerful and the waiters are very professional. The cost is honest. greatly recommend.
A very good place for great food. Service was exquisite and warm friendly environment. Definitely a place to visit again.
