I was looking for a weekend getaway, my sister-in-law recommended this place to me and it was perfect! When you walk into the Hawkie House, it feels like you are home. It is well decorated and oh so cozy. It truly has something for everyone. If you are looking for a relaxing weekend, look no further. It has a fireplace, sauna and hot tub. If you want to explore VT, it is close to hiking trails and some of the best slopes for skiing/snow boarding in New England. It’s a quick drive to Ludlow and Woodstock where you can pick up fresh maple syrup or enjoy some really good local restaurants. My favorite part of the house though — the bar/game room downstairs! There is even a popcorn machine if you want to wind down with a movie night :) I can’t wait to plan my next visit!

This vacation rental is a gem and made our Christmas break ski weekend feel so special! Hot tub? Check. Sauna? Check. Cozy fireplace? Check. Board games, puzzles, darts, movies, fully stocked kitchen with nice cookware... The owners have thought of every detail down to having extra outlets and USB ports by the beds. It’s got a nice work-from-home nook/loft as well with a desk and monitor; I could have stayed here for weeks. The overall feel is cozy Vermont cabin but with just the right modern touches. It’s only a 10 minute drive to Okemo ski area and Ludlow and just a little farther in the other direction to get to Killington. We love the little town of Ludlow - has a grocery and pharmacy and some great takeout places. Our family of 6 adults ( a dog) was very comfortable here. It can accommodate more with the loft trundle bed or the air mattress. Plenty of room in the driveway for our 3 vehicles. A !
Want a cozy, relaxed Vermont experience? This is the place! Ten minute ride to Jackson Gore parking, only 15 minutes to the main Okemo lot and 25 minutes to Killington. Such a quiet setting with an awesome deck where a clean hot tub was the perfect answer to a exhilarating day on the slopes. The dry/wet sauna wasn't bad either! The large stone fireplace, comfy couch, great sound system, wifi and awesome large screen televisions make it feel like a home away from home. So many fun things to do in the downstairs game room;; darts, ping-pong, ring toss and all kinds of DVD's for the kids....even a functioning popcorn machine. The owners have thought of everything. The only downside is we couldn't stay longer but we will be back!
