Had a wonderful time at this museum. Large collection of unique items related to river commerce. I really enjoyed the simulator that permits a realistic experience navigating as captain of a tug and barge tow.

So informative on the river life of boatmens...has many displays that are hands on for kids & adults to try...lots of photo ops here ...a simulator for you to try your hand at the helm of a bardge or many other ship's found on the river. Also has a large aquarium in back with fish in Ohio River ...quite interesting some are...it's a self guided tour but if you have any questions just ask out & your answer will be given...its very amazing....

The Rivers' industries contributed to the economy of the nation. So grateful for those who created the River Museum to preserve the history ... I highly recommend the Point Pleasant River Museum as a tourist site -- or a place to take your children and grandchildren. The Ole Folks will enjoy reliving their heritage.

Amazing place to stop and visit. Not only does this place house my familes past it also has a VR boat training for barging. Thank you for having so much history of our small town and recognising all the families from Point Pleasant. My favorite part was seeing my grandmas boat the Majestic.

One of the coolest places downtown Point Pleasant. The many displays are excellent, highlights include a 2,400 gallon aquarium, a scale model of the silver bridge, and a full-scale towboat pilot house simulator!
