I called in to Big Dog not long ago with questions about a new Temple Reef SPJ rod that recently hit the market. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and even offered to get feedback from customers who had bought the same rod. The price of the rod was spot on, not like the mark-ups I saw at other online vendors, and FREE shipping. I'm in New York so couldn't beat that. I left a pre-shipping comment asking for a non-floor model and to package it well so that it wouldn't get damaged in transit as I have had bad experiences before. Not only was the rod flawless like it came directly from the manufacturer, but the packaging was dynamite proof. Outstanding customer service and attention to detail from start to finish. Highly recommend as an online vendor if you're out of state, these guys take care of you no matter where you are.
Great local tackle shop. Prices are fair and reasonable. They know the business and can give you great advice. However, its not only tackle - they have an awesome selection of clothes and coolers. My go to store.
