Extremely poor communication between nurses, PT staff and family member. My husband was there for six days before I moved him and I never received a report of his status or detail plans for recovery. I was given a list of dr appts that were made by them and when I called ALL three drs to verily times None of the appts were made. Would not recommend, specially during these COVID times when you are not allowed to be there.

I hear it’s a great place. You need Medicare as a primary so you have to be older. Took 3 days of calling to get that answer. So moving on since I’m not on Medicare. Three days of unanswered voicemails. Wow

My mother was at the Seaside Cove building for rehab for a broken rib and hip. The therapists were wonderful. The rest was horrible. Decor is beautiful, but 90% of the staff that we spoke to hated their jobs. The aids are called Shabatz and are responsible for cleaning, housekeeping, cooking and everthing else with the exception of medications. The showers are a violation of anything ADA. The floors in the are improperly sloped and the bedrooms food. How this passed an inspection is questionable. Definately a fall hazard since the floor has to be totally dried before the patient can even move out of bathroom. This facility is in no way 5 star as they advertise.

Very nice staff and beautifully kept gated community. The ALF look like homes and not a nursing home. Definitely take a look into placing a loved one here.

I have somebody staying there at this moment, there was a situation with her yesterday and I did not like the way she was treated. They were fighting with her because she uses too many towels can you believe this? Telling her that she can only use one towel a day, and they didn't have enough staff to be washing clothes everyday, She is 91 years old and she is there because she had surgery on her hip. They were arguing with her in the kitchen with no respect on front of other patients I felt very awful and stand up for her yes I was very upset my voice was loud, but it wasn't the first time I see the way they treat her. I have complain other times as well and yesterday I did the same thing I made my complaint.. what was their decision for me not to be able to go back and see her because I was too loud, if you would have been there and seen what i saw u have been loud as well. When I am the only person she has to advocate for her.. I believe they need to retrain the staff I go everyday and the way they treat some of the patient is unethical. They didn't want me speaking loud but they can all speak loud to her. Where is the fairness..? Trust me this happens on an everyday basis. They should have an internal investigation undercover type of stuff because they cover up for each other.... the place is beautiful but not everything that shines is gold.. it's a good money making business that abuse and neglect our elderlies. I'm not saying that all of the staff of John Knox is like this. But my experience in the Woodland rehab of John Knox in the second floor in the swan side very bad attitude...
