Their auctioneers might do a good job getting bids but the short chubby guy with missing front tooth needs to forget his redneck racial slurs against the U.S. President. Not believing what I heard, I asked my friend if I heard right and he confirmed the hick auctioneer did imply President Obama was a coon. Disgusting, uneducated hick.i would not recommend using them

I was given a personal referral to Bob Goad Auctions. My thought was that we would do better going through an Auction house to sell our household stuff since some of it was worth more than a garage sale could bring. We brought Bob into our home to review what we had. We had received good comments from him on our stuff to sell. Therefore we felt good about letting him auction our stuff. We never heard anything from him once he took our stuff. He said it would all be inventoried and a list sent to us. That never happened. His communication was very very poor at best. Not one phone call from him to let us know any status of our stuff he took. I had to make several calls weeks later just to get some information. The lady who answers his phone was clueless to anything about us each time we called. Not being versed on auction procedure, which we now believe that Bob should have revealed to us at the time he agreed to auction our stuff, we were unaware that we had the right to set a eserve price\ so that our stuff was not given away. So to make this comment shorter, Bob literally gave our stuff away. A beautiful dresser mirror that should have fetched much more he let go for 1.00. Yes 1.00! He did that on basically everything he took from us. Just gave it away for pennies on the dollar. We could have easily made twice as much money or more having a garage sale or putting our stuff on craigslist. Don't waste your time or valuable belongings with this company. I have never felt so compelled to write a poor review on a company ever. But I hoping this will raise a flag for some other family and save them from the huge disappointment that we experienced with Goad Auctions.

I have attended Bob and Betty's auctions since he took over for Jerry Mars YEARS ago. I particularly like the jewelry auctions he holds several times a year. He always has typewritten sheets on the items and sells them in order.and the chance to personally hold any piece of interest for inspection. He uses his whole family for these auctions. About 5 years ago I was no longer able to carry my items to my car and he always had someone to lug them out for me. Actually, I could have asked for help anytime I purchased something large. Bob has recently combined his auctions with an internet server so I have to compete with online bids. As a buyer and seller of many things, the market for antiques and vintage items has fallen through the floor. Furniture has also deflated badly. Some items do sell for 1 but others sell higher. Over all, the price received is the best possible for the times. I wouldn't buy a bedroom mirror for even 1 as it is bulky and needs a place to put it. You can't resell it easily and Craigs List won't do any better. I like eBay but you can't ship a mirror well. Bob has a good following of auction attendees and I usually arrive late since they are usually on Sunday so I get a number many times of over 200. That is great for a seller. I have attended many where the auctioneer had no followers and had numbers as low as 40. My only wish is that he could go back to doing only one ring at a time as I usually like things from both. Murphy's Law. He holds most of his auctions in his auction barn and provides an ample number of chairs for either selling coins, guns, or jewelry; but it is there anytime you need to rest. The food wagon outside has great cheeseburgers. Good luck, Bob. Jerri Partlo
