Food was better than I expected! The beef pot roast was really good! My husband had fried shrimp sandwich, Po’boy, I think it was called and it was great. Shrimp were crispy and not overly battered. Dessert was bread pudding which we enjoyed. Serving sizes are generous too! We sat at the counter where you can see your food being prepared and the cooks were friendly and professional. Would definitely return!

We normally go to the Venice Metro Diner. That's only about 10 miles from where we live. We thought we would try the Port Charlotte Metro Diner which is about 6 miles from where we live. I will not be going back to the Port Charlotte Metro Diner again. I will say the staff is great the food as far as flavor goes is good, our waitress was fantastic. My complaint is we got breakfast. My eggs where ice cold, toast was as hard as a rock and my pancakes were brought out hot but were brought out 10 min after everything else. Than my hash browns came out after we were done and ready to pay the bill. The manager informed me that she gave me a 3 Veteran's discount (I am a disabled veteran) and a 5 off coupon for next time. She could have kept it all. The right thing to do would have been to comp my plate since half of it was either unedible or showed up after we were finished. Not the whole bill but just the one breakfast entree. So we won't be going back. We will drive the extra 4 miles to The Venice Metro Diner.
No complaints here. I was a little worried coming in at 7:10 and they closed at 8. The waitress was so nice. Our food came out fast, and it was delicious. Very reasonably priced, and I loved the diner feel. Nice and clean too. We’ll be back!
Waited 45 mins for a simple breakfast. The eggs were all the way cooked. I guess a simple over easy egg isn't so simple. My yolks were cooked dry. My home fries were old and dry. The steak was so dry. And my grits were so watery is wasn't even edible. It was too bad because the menu sounded amazing
The Manager, KAREN YEN, by ADMISSION PURPOSELY PUT a food ITEM IN my MEAL to which I'm HIGHLY ALLERGIC! (tomatoes skins) When requested to prepare it without the allergen (both at the time of order with the explanation and) for it to be replaced, she made a scene in the diner amongst others eating there! The second meal had hair in it! It was replaced AGAIN but taken home due to loss of appetite from the ADVERSE CONDITIONS KAREN YEN created. When the take home was opened, the ALLERGEN was FOUND INSIDE the container. Upon an inquiry call, speaking directly to her, KAREN YEN ADMITTED to PREPARING it HERSELF! This manager is DANGEROUS! We are quiet, we tip well and have fun with our waiters! Notable: We prayed over our meal and while we waited to be served and it appears that that caused an issue. Apparently, they don't welcome Christians and prayer at their establishment! Just wow!
