Super cool building in an up and coming area. The apartments are beautiful and spacious - tall ceilings and original hardwood floors. Biggest selling point originally for me was that power, utilities, internet, everything is included. Makes it so much easier to budget and save. All while living in a really cool apartment in a really cool community? Done and done! Oh! And the property management staff is awesome - hands down the best and most informed property managers I've worked with in Richmond. Friendly, quick to respond and assist, super accessible. The manager who helped me with my application was so helpful and it is super clear that she takes a lot of pride in keeping the community safe and well maintained, which were two of my main concerns when looking for a new home. Super cool apartment with really cool residents. Can't say enough good things about this place - so glad I found it!

Hidden gem. Truthfully, the area is developing and that would only be the slight con. I did my research though and scoped it out a few times and drove through the neighborhood - the community is safe and is really unique, diverse, resident-wise. Loved the building - historic bones but updated and super eclectic and modern aesthetic. For it's size, it stays remarkably tidy so far and maintenance is quick to address any issues I've brought to them. Leasing staff/ property managers were great. I was looking at multiple places, all over Richmond and honestly, the women who helped me with my application and gave me the tour sold me. Shanee was so knowledgeable and answered all of my questions (and I had a full page of questions). Crystal gave me a super thorough tour and assisted me through the application process and lease agreement - couldn't have asked for more enthusiastic and knowledgeable property managers. It is clear they are passionate about what they do and (somewhat) more importantly really really great at what they do. The whole process was surprisingly quick and easy. It made it that much more enjoyable once I settled into my new home. Cannot recommend them enough, truly!

I’ve lived at Port City since May 2019 and have loved it. The management and staff are phenomenal and prompt if anything comes up. I have 0 complaints and have enjoyed my overall experience. During COViD, the staff was quick and set up measures to keep everyone safe and well. Our workout room has been closed temporarily to keep residents safe but I look forward to it opening again. Everything in there is up to date and it’s a safe environment to exercise in. I have a 1 bedroom which is very spacious and enough for me and my little dog. I’ve only had to call maintenance a couple of times for very minor things. They are quick and very friendly. I totally trust the entire team to go in and out of my place if I’m not there since my work schedule is very busy. I would recommend living here to anyone looking to live in the city. I moved from the suburbs and the staff made it a very good experience and a fun one too.

My experience has been outstanding. The management team goes above and beyond to provide residents with outstanding services and modern-day living experience. They are prompt and professional with communicating the needs. The management team provides community updates on letter paper to ensure residents are kept up to speed of pertinent information pertaining to maintenance, parking, social activities, and office hours etc. During COVID-19, they've provided opportunities to deliver rent checks practicing social distancing and have boasted building morale with door decorating competitions and monthly food truck visiting the property. Any maintenance request is answered promptly. The management team goes to bat for it's residence speaking from personal experience. Communication is key and a two-way streak. It's up to residents to pull their weight by being responsible such as paying your rent on time, being respectful to other residents during quiet hours, and taking care of the property as specified in your lease. Don't be that obnoxious resident who gets reprimanded and ready to write poor reviews.

I absolutely love how kind the staff are at Port City Apartments. I’ve also had multiple positive encounters with Management and each time. Crystal is also informative with new Property updates as they come and Shanee has always provided appropriate communication and assistance whenever I have questions or concerns. I’ve lived at Port City for two years now and I absolutely love my spacious apartment with my huge windows because the view is very peaceful. Thank you Port City!

Very cute place to live, incredibly interesting architecture. Trendy Graffiti like art on the inside to really call on richmond culture. By far the best apartments for the price around, and I mean it. Most places at this rate are total garbage. Just seconds outside of downtown, very close to my job and all of the fun. Only complaint is that I didn't find it sooner.

I have had nothing but the most attentive, kind, hospitable service from the management here at Port City. My roommates and I have been living here for roughly a year, and in that time my experience has been beyond my expectations! Shanee and Crystal have been so helpful, as well as all of the maintenance crew. I'm excited to be a part of the upgrades and changes to Port City, and plan to renew our lease here when we officially come up on our one year. We have a very spacious two bedroom setup, it's beautiful and recently had brand new hard wood flooring installed on the stairs and second story. I also have never lived somewhere with marble countertops and stainless steel appliances up until this apartment, and I know my kitties love it here too.

The apartments are clean and very well maintained! I was impressed with how modern the countertops and appliances are. Super cute! The staff went above and beyond and had answers to any questions I had. I highly recommend Port City apartments!!
