Great location, plenty of historical information here for guests to read, and many rebuilt building to enjoy that tell the story of the structure.

We were traveling at the end of March from U.P. Michigan back to Chicago and visiting lighthouses on the way. All of them were closed for the season. At this one, we were lucky because keeper shows up and gave us a tour. Very interesting and informative. There is no parking, but you can park nearby on the street.

A cute lighthouse! Warning -no parking so you have to cruise by slowly to take pictures.

The tour was very interesting, and everyone was very nice! It's a steep climb to the light so kids under 6 are not allowed to the top. Kids are allowed on the main floor and the upstairs. It's definitely worth checking out!
