Koa Leaf Reviews | Rating 3 out of 5 stars (5 reviews)

Koa Leaf is located in Portland, United States. Koa Leaf is rated 3 out of 5 in the category life coaching for women in United States. Pam Mattys, co-founder of Koa Leaf, is a Certified Life Coach and Workshop Facilitator specializing in helping women reach their highest potential. Her areas of expertise include overcoming self-limiting beliefs, succeeding in high-stress work environments while staying true to one's values, adapting to different cultures, dealing with the challenges of single motherhood and career, and remaining relevant in middle age and beyond. Pam was born and raised on the Big Island of Hawaii. In 1998, as a single mom, she moved her two sons to Portland, Oregon in search of better opportunities. She subsequently remarried; became a senior-level administrative assistant at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, then Intel, and then the Chief's Office of the Portland Police Bureau; and finished her Bachelor of Science degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences from Linfield College at the age of 57. After receiving life and career coaching to help her deal with some difficult situations at work, and at the urging of friends and family who said she'd make a great coach herself, she decided to retire from the Police Bureau and do just that. Pam's coaching style is based on the Toltec philosophy made famous by Don Miguel Ruiz in his best-selling book The Four Agreements. She received one of her certifications from HeatherAsh Amara, who apprenticed under Ruiz for eight years. She also is influenced by her Christian faith and her Hawaiian cultural heritage. Pam's husband, Bruce Mattys, handles the business and technical sides of Koa Leaf. As for the company's name and logo, the koa tree is a species of Acacia that grows only in Hawaii. It’s known for its beautiful, curly-grain wood and is used to make furniture, ornaments, and musical instruments. A mature koa leaf looks like a bridge, which makes it a perfect metaphor for the bridge between who you are now and who you want to become.
