Fantastic experience buying some DJ headphones (locally!!). Very friendly staff and even though I'm absolutely a rookie/casual basement DJ they treated me as if I was the next DJ at EDC. Will recommend and return for any future DJ equipment needs.

I bought my first set of turntables from Platinum Records, when I was ONLY 27 years old. I wanted them so badly, I had to talk Scott into letting me put them on layaway, which I am eternally grateful to him that he did. Technics were around 1,500 dollars for the pair back then. I didn't have a lot of prior knowledge of exactly how turntables worked. Just knew I needed them to do what I wanted to be able to do!! I was really passionate about DJing and mixing vinyl. Finally I got them and I was able to become one of the top DJ's in Seattle Some say the first, or pioneering female DJ. I started Seattle DJ Academy in 2014, with the mission of enriching, empowering and inspiring up and coming DJs to become who they are supposed to be. I have received overwhelming interest in the Academy, and created a new demand in the market place for the future of DJing. I am an "old school" DJ from the 80's & 90's playing Hip Hop/Rap & Dance/House music in clubs & on the radio back home in Burlington, Vermont. I am now 49 years old & have recently got back into spinning. I stumbled across Platinum Records selling 12" vinyl records by the bulk-lot. Scott pulled some very nice LL Cool J, RUN-DMC, Bobby Brown, Al B. Sure & BBD as well as many more 80's & 90's Hip Hop/Rap, R&B artists from those years. He sent me 50 vinyl records that I bought. & he did not dissapoint!. I will be ordering more "Lots" or vinyl from them often. Thanks Scott & Staff. Keep spinnin'. Shayne Newton "
