Outstanding performances by people who love music. Musicians have a great time up there-the music reflects their joy. Audience is devoted and discerning. People fly in from all over the world to play under Monica Hugget's direction. When she plays the violin the whole room goes quiet so we don't miss a note. Only perform 6-8 times per year so don't miss a concert. Messiah is the best in town over the holidays. They play on period violins, and instruments so the sound is not so brash. I especially appreciate the baroque trumpets Monica gets for Handel's Messiah. Softer and like a human voice.

Hearing Orfeo was excellent, Seeing him (or any of his onstage colleagues) from a 50 seat on an aisle at the selected venue was impossible; a 10 CD recording would have been a better alternative for a Monteverdi aficionado.
