Have been coming here since I started at PSU in 2018. The equipment is great and Love all the staff there! Except there is a new trainer (female) who is usually shirtless when she’s with male clients (in a sports bra) or wears crop tops and it just seems to be inappropriate especially in a professional setting. I get it’s a gym which is totally fine when you’re by yourself or with friends. But the other trainers or workers don’t dress like that and it kind of just gives visitors/members and other staff a bad vibe or image.

Solid campus rec center! If you're good to the staff, they'll be good to you. I think my only complaint is that the climbing gym is so small, and that the equipment is so run down. I ended up buying climbing shoes as a beginner because the only rentable pair my size has gaping holes in both of the toes (rendering them almost useless, ha). Other than those small things, it's a great rec center. The outdoor program is phenomenal and you can rent stuff for super cheap which is great.

Decent gym if you happen to be on campus. The pool is big and awesome. Sadly, its missing a lot of things: - Equipment are lacking if you are into bodybuilding. Its missing a lot of machines/equipment that target serious lifters, even when you compare it to a traditional gym like 24 hour fitness - No Sauna or steam room?! Come on! - The lockers in the changing rooms are a joke. I can't even fit my backpack, let alone my helmet or any school stuff. So I have to work out and drag my stuff around the machines. - While bench pressing one day, an employee asked me to put sleeves on my barbell if I need to continue using the gym. This was the first time anyone has asked me to do this in my 16 years of lifting weights. Obviously he doesn't lift. Other than those couple things its not a bad gym for the average person. I like that you can charge your phone for free at the service desk while you're working out.

As campus gyms go, this one is pretty excellent. Even better, they have a ton of classes available to students and staff which is fantastic. Their outdoor program is also phenomenal. Knowledge staff that run really fantastic trips to the backcountry, and tons of gear for rent at prices that can't be beat if you want to do your own thing. The climbing gym is on the smaller side but with great routes and lots of options. It's also worth checking out the pool which is quite large.

If you're a PSU student, I recommend taking advantage of this place, especially the climbing gym. All the people there are super friendly and helpful.
