This school has been nothing but amazing to me. The education I have received here has prepared me not only to pass the tests I need, but also prepared me for life in the beauty industry. Having Miss Bobby and Miss Alana by my side through this time has gotten me through so much more than just cosmetology school. They genuinely care about all of their students and want to see us succeed in all aspects of life. If you want to be in a place that works as a team to give you the most well rounded education for this industry, The Strand Institute is most definitely the place you want to be.

I transferred to the Strand Institute from a Paul Mitchell School in May. Since attending the Strand Institute I believe I’ve been more prepared for my future as a working cosmetologist. Since attending the Institute I’ve been able to take extra classes for certifications in hair extensions, eye lash extensions, Balayage and more. The Director/ Owner and the Instructors also schedule us events outside of school for us to give back to the community such as free hair cutting events, doing hair and makeup at the nursing homes, and Fundraisers supporting the American Cancer Society.. etc. You get much more than just an education when you attend the Institute, you get friends, family and memories of a lifetime. We as students are so Thankful for Mrs. Bobbi And Mrs. Alana and the rest of the instructors for always blessing us with their knowledge in and out of the Cosmetology world. I’m thankful that God led me here.

I made the decision to pursue a career in cosmetology. Attending the Strand Institute has been one of the best decisions I’ve made. The instructors are awesome! Mr. Phillips and Ms. Alana are very knowledgeable and helpful. You can tell they are passionate about what they do! I love it here!

As a cosmetology student, I would highly recommend The Strand institute if you are looking to join the beauty industry. Our principal, and ALL of The instructors go above and beyond to make sure you will be prepared for state board, and for becoming successful after you graduate. One of the things that stood out to me was that it is a salon within a school, so as a student i get to work on real clients daily, which to me is the best hands on experience you can ask for!
