This place forever changed my life for the better. I grew up with a love for herbalism and have read through many books on the subject but I never reached the level of understanding that I hoped to receive until I walked through the doors of Vital Ways as a student and my perception forever changed. I was introduced to a whole new world and walk the path daily. Coming here was the best decision I ever made. The people are amazing and have a wealth of knowledge on plant medicine. Drop by for the conversation. Chris is the Director of the school. Both are approachable and it's always a learning experience when I visit just for a conversation. In my personal life I've been able to help people around me with the knowledge I achieved. I proudly display certifications on my wall. Hikes through the forest has a completely new meaning for me that I now recognize the medicine around me. I often buy herbs here if there's something I can't find out in Nature. I’d been looking for an herb shop around town and finally was tipped off to Vital Ways. Their prices are better than most places I’ve been to, but the knowledge and helpfulness of the staff and the huge array of herbs available are why I’ll keep coming back. They just helped me blend an herbal tea for my needs and told me how to brew it, and were patient with my incessant questions. And I learned that different strains of valerian even smell kind of pleasant (most of it smells like sweaty feet), since almost everything they have smells nice and fresh. Good stuff. Exactly what I’ve been looking for, plus some.
