Nice small park, cabins were solid. The beach is pretty rocky, suggest Fort Warden for a nice big sandy beach.

It's probably 5 stars in the summer. Our maiden voyage in our new to us motorhome. The site was big for a RV site but super wet. Go figure, it's December, it's been raining a lot so try to get a spot that doesn't say poor drainage. The Rangers were super nice and helpful. Bathrooms were nice and clean as were the rest of the grounds. Tent sites look a little small, but the cabins look fun. We will be back in the future!

Lovely state park... However, the park shower facilities are no longer open to the general visiting public... Only open to campers

This park has a few amenities. You have a Day Use area with several picnic tables in a large grassy field. Some tables are along the Hood Canal / Squamish water way so you can enjoy the views. Restrooms in Day Use are kept clean which is very nice! What has been closed in 2020 due to COVID is the playground and the Group area for large parties. In the camping area, you have about 16-20 sites for RV / Trailers. Eight or so tent sites. Many are first-come, first-serve. Lastly there are cabins to reserve. Check the WA State Parks website for reservable RV, tent sites. And also to check the latest for the Day Use amenities.

Despite its proximity to the highway, the park was very quiet. The water supply in the day use area was turned off so we sat and cooked some lunch in a camping spot. It had good foliage cover and was very serene. Absolutely loved it here. The cabins are smaller than the cabins at Dosewallips but they are also quieter.
