A LESSON from and ACCOLADES for KALES NURSERY In May 2018, I bought my wife a Kwanza flowering cherry tree, a combined Mother’s Day and Wedding Anniversary gift from Kales Nursery. The tree did not thrive – its leaves were spindly and had few cherry blossoms. I contacted Doug Kale, the owner-operator of Kales Nursery. Doug, a man of his word replaced the tree on October 28, 2020 for which his business gets my high accolades. He also provided a lesson that may be useful to other home owners. Doug Kale analyzed the problem with the tree as receiving too much water; the lawn around the tree is irrigated. His analysis was found correct when his workers dug up the old tree and found that the main roots were rotten. Doug Kale’s solution to the problem is to plant the new tree in a slight mound in a mixture of topsoil and sand. The pictures below shows the installation and the finished job with straw covering grass seed on the new mound. Notice the white protector on the tree, which can expand as the tree grows to prevent deer damage – another lesson from Doug Kale Tom Giacobbe

We spent \u003e 2400 on 7 evergreen shrubs in 2018. Within a year, most of them looked yellow and dying. Kales replaced 2 of them in 2019. Since then, additional shrubs are dying. We called for 3 months, visited twice, and emailed with no responses. We only want someone to look at the problem and recommend a solution, but they are too unprofessional to even respond. They used pandemic, vacation, and unawareness as excuses. Don't deal with them!

Went in during the off-season to order and get installed a high end mailbox and post. These guys were top notch, knew the necessary local regulations/permitting, and got it done exactly on schedule and with excellent phone notifications as to each step in case of delays (there were none, but I was prepared!). Will definitely return with upcoming seasonal needs!
