BUYER BEWARE! I'm a contractor in waimea with so many bad experiences here. This home depot is about an hour from most of my jobsites. Employees are poorly trained, don't know what's in their own store. Merchandise like cabinets are normally broken, yet still for sale. At one point I bought a tub shower combo. Five of the six on the shelves had been run through with a forklift almost dead center of the surround, and the one I bought had a broken corner that wasn't visible until I opened the box. Seven hours waisted, two in drivetime to buy, one in the store digging through inventory to find one that wasn't obviously damaged, two hours in drivetime to return and another solid hour while I waited for a store employee to verify that the one I was leaving the store with was not broken. My most recent trip was for metal studs. I looked on their website and it said they were in stock and gave a location in the store so I made the hour drive to get some. They were not in the spot specified. I spent some time looking for them, asked an employee that didn't really know what they were who asked me to wait while he looked for his boss. he never came back. I found out later that they discontinued metal studs in November, this happened in the middle of July. I have also given customers lists of material to pick up for their project, and consistently they give them the wrong material. One example, the customer went to pick up 3/8 siding grade plywood. He returned with 3/4 interior grade birch plywood. This was an order he called in to the pro desk and had put on will call. I have lots more examples, but you get the point. Lowes isn't any better.
