Very cool museum that doesn't get publicized enough! It helps us put in perspective why we go to school and how this all came to be! Even if you are not a BYU student, this is a great place to learn about the history of learning in the church. Was a perfect thing for me to see after a long day of school

I did not know this permanent exhibit at the BYU Humanities building existed until this week! It has been there since 2006 after this building, the JFSB was built specificially to house it! There is a spiral staircase leading up to the exhibit, crowned with an oculus, both symbolic for Latter-day Saints and having ties to the temple. The Education in Zion exhibit is a must-see for anyone with an interest in education, whether parents, teachers, or lifelong learners. The processing room at the end of the tour was really special, too, and gave me a chance to ask myself some questions about how the Holy Spirit participates in my own learning endeavors. I was blessed and uplifted by the knowledgeable docents there, as well.

This is such a cool museum that I didn’t even know was there!!! It contains interesting exhibits on education in Utah and the history of BYU. There are artifacts and displays that talk about the people that helped found the university and how BYU was part of a larger educational movement within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in response to the Edmunds Tucker Act. There are also other exhibits that periodically change. The staff is friendly and it is free. Enter the Joseph Fielding Smith Building (JFSB) and go up the cool looking stairs. You should go!!!

Really nice museum-like exhibit that deals with the history and formation of BYU. They offer free tours whenever you want. Just walk in and talk to the kids working at the desk and they'll give you a tour.

It's a really interesting mini-museum/massive diorama. It'll take 25 to 30 minutes to get through if you stop and read through everything. If you're interested in the history of education amongst the early Latter day saints, then this is the place for you!
