I corroborate this experience. This is how my poor brother was 'treated' pathetic excuse for a doctor. a minute ago If I could give no stars I would. This place is unprofessional and borders on cruelty with its lack of communication, knowledge and compassion. I called beforehand to make sure my son's case was able to be taken on. I informed them of recent events and emotional highs and lows, etc.. I was told it would be no problem at all and they are willing and able to help. After a quick 45 minute 'evaluation' with Dr. Rose Peterson, who didn't bother to glance at my son's chart in the 5 minutes she had it before seeing us, the entire session was spent with a unintuative and uneducated woman fumbling her way through the entire conversation. I still held out hope that she would be able to recommend medication or CBT therapy, SOMETHING. Instead I got NOTHING. A secretary called to say on behalf of Dr. Peterson that she can't help my bi-polar, developmentally delayed son. That he needs a higher level of care. (He isn't some bizarre case. A Bi-polar disabled young man should be something a psychiatrist who claims to deal with autism on a consistent basis should be able to handle. AND SHE KEPT REFERRING TO HIM AS AUTISTIC WHEN HE'S NOT.) Let's say by all means that she truly feels he needs a higher level of care. She now had her secretary call for her, not with a reference or anything we can possibly do for him, but literally washing her hands of the situation. IF YOU CAN'T HELP PEOPLE WITH PSYCHIATRIC NEEDS WHY ARE YOU A PSYCHIATRIST? IF YOU CAN'T HELP SOMEONE, WHY IS THERE NO REFERRAL FOR SOMEONE WHO CAN HELP? This stupidity makes me dizzy with regret that I even took the time out to meet this disgusting excuse for a doctor. Don't waste your time.

Clinical Care Solutions Smithtown office is a team of true experts in their fields. They have immediate openings for new patients and even work with uninsured clients I have referred to them. Staff goes above and beyond to get clients the benefits and services they need. How they manage to achieve this, with also offering lowest sliding scale on Long Island, is remarkable. Psychiatrists Suffolk offers both urgent appointments and high levels of expert care that simply does not exist elsewhere. When a family member struggled with opiate addiction requiring Suboxone, as well as an underlying anxiety disorder, we were unable to locate any Doctors who were willing to treat both. The Treatment Team at Clinical Care Solutions Psychiatry, not only recognized the role of the depression and anxiety in substance abuse behaviors, they succesfully treated both! This organization is light years ahead of traditional treatment clinics and truly treats each individual with remarkable expertise, and compassionate evidence based care.

The other bad reviews are true- I 100% agree.Look how many reviews clearly are made by themselves- that is how shady this place is. Collecting that cash because they still-still- don't accept insurance. Forget ever getting a call returned or your medicine properly filled-it won't happen and they will smart mouth you when you call them on their incompetence. horrible horrible

Finding knowledgeable Psychiatrists in Suffolk County NY, or anywhere on Long Island for that matter, is no easy task! Psychiatrists Smithtown, a new venture between Clinical Care Solutions Psychiatry of Suffolk and newly recruited Clinical Psychiatry Providers, Robert Thompson, PMHNP-BC and Dr. M. Stefanovich, of the CCS Psychiatry Queens Clinic, have made a real difference in the community! Patients are seen within 3 to 5 days of intakes, and the sliding scale for the uninsured is lower than the Suffolk County Psychiatric Clinics! Well done! I am quite happy to hear, Robert Thompson, PMHNP-BC has a keen interest and a solid expertise in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry! (Good luck finding one of those outside Manhattan, or the Hamptons in Summer! ) Once again, a bonus for the community and the schools!
