We’re delighted to be part of the neighborhood’s newest eating and drinking establishment. As seasoned restaurant guys who brought you Champps Americana and Granite City Food and Brewery, we’re excited to take Pub 42 to the next level. We also have other opportunities in the works – stay tuned. We promise one thing: there will be a culinary culture to Pub 42 both from a food and beverage perspective. On January 14th, 2021. My friends and I were serviced with one of the greatest servers at this establishment. Riley did an outstanding job at entertaining us with his jokes and personality. He was attentive to all of our needs as well. I was extremely comfortable, and felt right at home. Even with all the crazy things going on with the pandemic. Thank you Riley!!! And thank you for being a remarkable contribution to my life.

Much better food than I was expecting. Delicious charred wings! You can usually tell the quality of a pub like this based on the quality of the wings and I’m happy to say these were slightly crispy, meaty, flavorful, and not too big or greasy. The coleslaw was not your typical slaw either; it had just the right amount of sweetness and was very fresh and satisfying with the wings. Prices are very reasonable. I’m only docking a star because they forgot to include silverware and napkins in my DoorDash delivery order, which turned out to be rather inconvenient. Hopefully that won’t happen next time! But again, great food.

The food was great, but no vegan option on the menu. I had never been to Pub 42 before, but it was recommended by my co-worker. It looks like an excellent place for friends to go hang out after work . The atmosphere is clean and pleasant. There is a jukebox, and the menu is very upscale, especially for a bar. We ordered two appetizers: the Brussels sprouts and chicken strips. The sprouts were mostly bacon, which my husband loved. They were very accommodating about making me a vegan beet salad for my main course. My husband ordered jambalaya, which I could clearly see was a bad choice, given all the great options on the menu. My son ordered the shrimp and was delighted that it didn't come with vegetables. Overall it was a very pleasant evening with a friendly helpful staff.

Great to have lunch out inside. First time since March. Varied menu. Had Asian salad which was great. Also Prime rib sandwich which was OK. Now for covid restrictions: looked like all tables were open. We first were seated at a 4top that was a traffic turn for the busy pull tab booth. Asked to be moved. Lucite mounted between booths on wall but they seated us right next to another couple when there was an option not to do that. Not sure how they manage the cleaning between guests, especially on this protective plastic with fingerprints. Had a great server and appreciated the opportunity to go \out\ since it got cold. Will be pausing adventures in public for a while to make sure we do not have or spread things around.

Our waitress was great, and the pop overs were delicious. Unfortunately we are not pleased with our dine in experience. We called around 4:15 to see if they still had prime rib on Thursday. We were told they did after 5pm with limited availability (until they run out). Perfect! So we made a reservation for 5pm. We placed our order and a few minutes later our waitress comes back to say they do not have prime rib. We asked to speak with the manager about being misinformed. He was rude and made us feel as if we must be mistaken because he answers most of the phone calls and he would never say that. They have not had prime rib on Thursdays since reopening. Both the dine in menu and website menu show prime rib available on Thursday's and both the waitress and the person who took our reservation did not know. We really love the food at Pub 42, the atmosphere and the servers have always been great. However, because of the way the manager dismissed us, it may be awhile before I return.
